Community
We support charities and communities both locally and across the globe through donations and sponsorship. We regularly run fundraising events and encourage company participation and initiatives to support causes that strengthen our society. We also encourage our employees with their own charitable initiatives, provide volunteering opportunities for our staff and allocate time for them to help local causes, and those close to their hearts.
Environmental
ASL have a long-term vision to minimise our impact on the environment. We strive to continuously improve our processes and implement best practice by ensuring our operations are sustainable and efficient.
We consider the environmental impact of all our business decisions. Our business is paperless, and we use electronic filing and other digital technologies, we recycle our waste and use energy saving technology to decrease our carbon impact. Where possible we reuse, or donate, used office equipment. When we do need to dispose of old equipment we do so in the most environmentally friendly manner. We take account of sustainability criteria in our purchasing policies and consider environmental impact when on‑boarding suppliers.
International communication is key to our business of dealing with claims all over the world. We do this through meetings in person, video conferencing, phone, and email communications. When travel is necessary, we consider the most sustainable mode and routes.
ASL’s ESG committee regularly monitors our environmental impact by undertaking periodic reviews of the business to identify and implement improvements. We aim to build awareness of environmental responsibility amongst our employees; for example, by encouraging participation in our cycle to work scheme.
We are certified as a Carbon Neutral business by Carbon Neutral Britain.
