Volunteering with the Single Homeless Project
ASL recognise the importance of hands-on involvement in making a difference. Recently, we have organised two volunteering days with the Single Homeless Project (SHP). Our teams came together to paint and refurbish rooms in homeless shelters, creating a more welcoming environment for those in need.
Annual Charitable Initiatives
ASL continuously support charitable activities, encouraging staff to participate in various initiatives, such as:
Macmillan Coffee Morning: We host a Macmillan coffee morning, when staff bake and raise funds to support people living with cancer.
Christmas Shoebox Appeal: Operation Christmas Child involves staff donating shoeboxes filled with gifts for children in need.
Christmas Jumper Day: A festive day to raise funds for Save the Children, where staff don their best Christmas jumpers.
Migrateful Cooking Event
ASL hosted a cooking event for women in the PRC market called Migrateful – taught by refugees and migrants, supporting their journey to integration. The event provides a platform for cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Supporting Mental Health in the Insurance Industry
ASL are proud supporters of the Nick Kilhams Foundation, a foundation that seeks to raise awareness for and address mental ill-health within the insurance industry. This year we’ve sponsored a table at the Nick Kilhams Foundation lunch and actively participate in the NKF choir and organise its running club.
Sponsoring the Tidewaves Channel Crossing
ASL proudly sponsored the Tidewaves Atlantic crossing, a team of three female rowers who competed in the Atlantic Challenge, known as ‘The World’s Toughest Row’ across the Atlantic Ocean in aid of Access Sport, London Youth Rowing and Scottish Sports Aid, fostering opportunities for young people to engage in rowing and other sports activities.
