We are delighted to announce two well deserved promotions.

Daniel West has been promoted to Technical Director. Dan joined ASL in 2018 after qualifying as a chartered accountant with EY. Dan has since been instrumental in developing ASL’s cyber practice and is our technical lead for dealing with business interruption losses and remediation costs arising from cyber events. He also deals with crime claims affecting financial institutions and commercial entities, particularly when the claims have a social engineering element. Dan will continue to focus on his area of market-leading expertise – BI calculations and cyber remediation costs – and the further development of our service to insurers in that field.  He will also be sharing his expertise with the wider ASL team.

Charles Harris has been promoted to Associate Director. Charlie joined us in 2021 having qualified as a chartered accountant at Haysmacintyre two years before. He has since been involved in all aspects of the company’s professional work – with a particular focus on crime, cyber, business interruption and FI. In his new role, Charlie will continue to help develop ASL’s crime, cyber and BI practices, as well as working on FI claims worldwide – building on the valuable experience gained through a recent secondment at a leading insurer.
