We are delighted to announce that Hetle Soni has been appointed a Director of ASL, Sandy Kapoor steps up as Head of our Dubai Office, and Jolanta Wichtowski has been promoted to Associate Director.

Before joining ASL, Hetle qualified as both a barrister and solicitor and since joining the company has used those skills to develop her specialisms in professional and management liability claims as well as financial crime losses. Hetle has been instrumental in developing ASL’s unique and tailored approach, ensuring that we always resolve matters smoothly and add value for Insurers. Going forward, Hetle will lead the firm’s Professional and Management Liabilities practice alongside Edward Maddison and Elinor Lamerton.

Sandy is a qualified solicitor and joined ASL in 2011. Sandy moved to our Dubai office in 2018 and has developed her knowledge and understanding of the region’s insurance market, building on already long-standing relationships with insurers writing business in the region and their insureds. Sandy now steps up to head ASL’s Dubai office and will continue to work closely with James Vincent, who will be dividing his time between our Dubai and London offices whilst continuing to lead our Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific offering.

Jola joined ASL from the National Audit Office and since then has applied her considerable analytical and problem-solving skills to a wide range of financial crime and cyber losses.  Her attention to detail, whilst keeping sight of the bigger picture, is second to none, and Jola will continue to develop our market-leading offering in these classes.
